Welcome to the f88me.com wiki
It is a knowledge base wiki that is generated and edited by f88me forum members.
Here you will find information concerning mountain bikes, advocacy and trails. And perhaps a good cheesecake recipe or an article about chain suck.
It is a participatory, community-based effort. Please give your input, add content and correct entries. In short, make it better, it is your place. It is a newly created wiki, in March 2008, so many sections still need to be developed but we hope it will rapidly evolve into one of the larger and most useful reference web sites in mountain biking. As of today, there are 113 articles here.
If you find simple answers to simple questions in a long thread on the forum, it would be great if you could write a summary article in the wiki. Instructions are here. Are you wondering what is a Wiki?
The hope of F88me wiki is to be several things:

Legalese: If you do not have the tools, skills, and knowledge to properly work with a bike, be smart and have your local mechanic do it. Improper work could result in damage to the bicycle, damage to the beer hand, serious injury, or death. Or you could learn something, it's up to you. In the end you are responsible for the actions you take on your bike.

So you want to add some content. But you don't know how? You're thinking "I don't know how to create a subpage under a listing, like a specific tool subpage under the Tools page?" Well, read the help section. Perhaps you can even work on the Multi-Language Bike Dictionary
Why are we doing this?
F88me's membership represents a broad spectrum of MTB expertise, knowledge and experience. By sharing that knowledge through the encyclopedic wiki format, F88me's members can create a broad resource for themselves and for other forum visitors.
In addition, it is the intent of F88me's members that the site serve as an information clearing-house for cycling advocacy efforts. This resource will allow activists from around the world to create an encyclopedia of fresh ideas and tested techniques. Combined with F88me's discussion forum, it is our goal to enhance group and individual efforts to achieve important advocacy goals.
